It's not my favourite... I like a few bands but after a while it gets repetative.

Isn't black tape for a blue girl more on the ethereal side??? but anyways i would have to go with London After Midnight although they were goth when they very first started but still love the =]

Diva Destruction is amazing. So is Switchblade Symphony and The Cruxshadows. And of course there's Frozen Autumn, and the legendary Clan of Xymox.
Also Suspiria was pretty awesome when it came to finding a good blend between Gothic Rock and Darkwave.
Oh and Sopor Aeternus of course.

I listen to a few darkwave bands, and I really like the style, and I think there's a lot of variation to find. Sopor Aeternus is of course one of my favourite darkwave bands, but I also really enjoy The Crüxshadows, Lacrimosa, Plastique Noir, Switchblade Symphony, and my latest addition, Umbra et Imago.

"i would have to go with London After Midnight although they were goth when they very first started"
while LAM did start out alot more on the goth side, they were alot more DW back then they are now, they really haven't been DW since the Psycho Magnet cd, which is 10 years old or so. Violent Acts of Beauty (while being a great cd regardless) is far from darkwave, and if anything is like a industrial gothish style cd.
anyways i love early CXS back when they were actually darkwave and not trying to be top dance chart with every new song they release, switchblade symphony, and clan of xymox =]

A lot of darkwave stuff is easy to lump under a generic goth umbrella.
I like a lot of darkwave - Cruxshadows, London After Midnight, Switchblade Symphony, Clan of Xymox to name a few.

I will contradict my previous statement and say Switchblade Symphony are one of my favourite bands ever.

I love Clan of Xymox! I was so pissed off when I missed them live this year. I also like London After Midnight, but Xymox is my total favourite.
